Who are Lecora?

We are a group who share an interest in contemporary textile art and embroidery. We set ourselves up in 2007 after meeting whilst doing various City and Guilds creative design diplomas at Castlereagh College, as we found we missed all the camaraderie and encouragement gained by working together. Our skills range from traditional crafts to artistic use of design and machine technology. What are our aims?

• To continue to explore all forms of textile art by holding workshops and inviting guest speakers.  We regularly meet to discuss work in progress, pool our knowledge and encourage each other.
•  To raise the profile of textile art by holding at least two exhibitions each year.
•  To sell completed work, encouraging us to continue creating and allowing us to further explore the world of textile art.
